With the deadline for the MDG targets set to expire in 2015, the United Nations and its Member States have embarked on a process to define a future development agenda. A key part of the process is the work being done by a 27 member High Level Panel of Eminent Persons (HLPEP) established by the United Nations Secretary-General.
The Secretary-General has called for inclusive broad-based consultations within member states on the priorities for the post-2015 development agenda. In India, national organizations and institutions are convening constituency-based consultations involving the Government of Republic of India, civil society, elected officials, trade unions, industries, women's organizations, farmer's associations, research institutions and youth organizations.
Lend your voice and participate in this process of defining the future development agenda.
As part of the Global Post- 2015 process, there are 11 thematic consultations - Inequalities, Governance, Health, Environmental Sustainability, Population Dynamics, Water, Growth and Employment, Conflict and Fragility, Food Security and Nutrition, Education, Energy.
As part of Global Thematic Consultations some dialogues are taking place in India with the support of UN agencies and civil society to contribute to the Global Thematic Consultations. Details are available in the links below.
