We are pleased to announce the launch of the final report of the global thematic consultations on growth and employment in the post-2015 agenda. The report is the result of a collaborative effort representing the contributions, views and recommendations of hundreds of experts, activists, policymakers and citizens committed to a more inclusive and sustainable future.

Sustainable and inclusive development will not be possible unless economic growth is combined with the creation of decent jobs. Selim Jahan from UNDP argues that "tackling the global jobs crisis is not an easy task; it will require bold national policies, private-sector dynamism and an enabling global framework". Six central themes have emerged from the latest report on Growth and Employment, compiled by hundreds of experts, activists, citizens and policymakers. Briefly, these include employment generation, generating inclusive growth through decent jobs, promoting productive economic sectors, expanding social protection, strengthening the voice of workers and reforming global economic governance in the interest of the developing world.
